Privacy

Your files never leave your computer.

Spruce is designed to be useful without becoming another place your data lives.

  • Optional site analytics are off unless you explicitly accept them. When enabled, PostHog receives anonymous page visits, selected button clicks, and session recordings — never file data, account data, or your cleanup instructions.
  • Session recordings are configured to mask all text, form inputs, and element attributes. They show anonymous interaction patterns, not the page content a visitor sees or types.
  • PostHog uses the configured regional endpoint with automatic click capture, persistent analytics storage, and person profiles disabled. We also respect the browser’s Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings.
  • We do not sell or share analytics data for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can decline or change your analytics choice at any time with Privacy choices in the footer.
  • Deletes go to the system Trash or Recycle Bin — Spruce has no permanent-delete command.
  • Scanning, matching, planning, and file operations happen on your computer.
  • Optional AI parsing is off until you add a key, and sends only the sentence you typed.
